Maple Leaves Forever offers a 25% maple tree rebate towards eligible plantings.
Rebate Applications for Fall Planting are due November 4th.

Fall Maple Care

  • Water newly planted trees and young trees slowly & deeply, before adding mulch & staking (if necessary)
  • Fall is the second best time to plant trees; plant early enough that trees can establish before winter sets in
  • Collect mature seed from sugar maple trees if desired
  • Enjoy the fall colours!
  • Rake & dispose of fallen leaves if foliar disease was a problem during the growing season
  • Prune to remove dead, cracked or broken branches.
  • Replenish mulch around the base of the trees
  • Inspect trees for presence of animal/insect-damage, disease or vandalism, install rodent & deer protection as needed
  • After leaves fall is a good time to inspect for LDD Moth and treat trees
  • Wrap the trunk of trees to prevent frost cracks, if recommended for your geographic area

Maple Leaves Forever is pleased to provide a complete seasonal guide to maple tree planting and ongoing care!

Our Impact

MLF also sponsors the following environmental & tree planting initiatives: Ontario Envirothon, One Bench One Tree, Grand Trees Climate Change Solutions and Highway of Heroes Tribute.
